Simian UI Montage

For the upcoming independent short "SIMIAN", a large amount of UI and HUD components were constructed to help drive the narrative and to create the appropriate atmosphere for the main character.

The navigational displays are comprised of multi-tiered orbital feedback systems. The left side contains orbital phase data thats is measured alongside changes in inclination or shifts in planetary eccentricity. Global axis differences are also measured below. 
 

The right side mostly contains a large map detailing both geosynchronous and low earth orbit debris. The ship's active orbit is clearly delineated from other debris, such as satellites or space junk. Solar radiation    is also measured, with  distance to object and its surface turbulence.

The propulsion and engine display have its thrusters to the left and right respectively. Both are controlled by the central thruster module, which can be independently duplicated for more control if needed.

Planetary Targeting

The targeting component has several primary objectives. Usually only used for outer orbit planetary scans, it can also be used in conjunction with other complementary systems, such as long range navigation.
 

Targeting also directly synchs with a visor display attached to the pilot's helmet. 

Long-range Scanner

The scanner searches both short and long range frequencies, with either planetary or other origin. All and any kind of communication waveforms are parsed and stacked into their own categories.
 

Each wave category or "bank" is collected to the far right of the display, giving a mini heads up view of each. These can be accessed further for additional detail.
